Ever notice that when you hold a compass, it always points to the north? No matter where you stand or which direction you face, a compass will always point to the north. True North Church is all about pointing people in the right direction in life – towards the God who knows us intimately and knows which direction in life is best for us. Our desire is to seek God and follow His direction in life.
There is only one eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing and everywhere-present Triune God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit— who is the creator and sustainer of all things (Deuteronomy 6:4-5; 1 Timothy 2:5).
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human. He lived a sinless life, died to make atonement for the sins of all mankind, was resurrected and is now mediator at the right hand of the Father. He is coming again in power and glory for His believing followers, and is the only Savior of mankind (John 1:1, 14; Titus 2:11-14).
He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, regenerating all who repent of their sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. He sanctifies, empowers, teaches, guides and comforts the believers (John 16:7, 8, 12-15).
The Bible is the inerrant, divinely inspired Word of God and authoritative in all matters it addresses (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
Salvation is the result of genuine repentance of sin and faith in the atoning work of Christ. It brings forgiveness to the repentant, makes him a participant of the divine nature and gives peace with God. We call this new birth (Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 1:3-5).
We believe in the invisible and universal Church as the living Body of Christ. It is composed of all believers in the Lord Jesus who have been vitally united by faith to Christ, its living Head and sovereign Lord (Matthew 16:18; Hebrews 12:22-24).
We believe there are two Christian ordinances: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe they are outward rites appointed by Christ to be administered in each church, not as a means of salvation, but as a visible sign and seal of its reality (Acts 8:36; 1 Corinthians 11:24-34).

How Can I Get Involved?
We know that children are precious and valuable. We offer a “Children’s Church” for preschool through 2nd grade during the worship service.
We don’t believe young people are the future of the church. We believe young people are a part of the church now. Tupos meets every Wednesday night during the school year from 7-8:30 pm to challenge and equip students in grades 6-12 to be disciples who make disciples.
EAST (Encouraging, Abiding, and Serving Together)

G-God’s P-Plan S-for Success/TUPOSWednesday, September 16th our children/student ministries start back up! Preschool-5th grade 7-8pm, 6th-12th grade 7-8:30 at our new ministry center850 W Elm St Wauseon
After teaching for 29 years at Emmaus, Kathy felt led in another direction and had a vision for another type of school. She researched her options through the Ohio Child and Family Services and discussed how her vision might fit into the mission of her church True North. Kathy and spouse Lindsay have become very active in their community, mission minded church.
This fall, this vision will become a reality as she begins a new adventure in her life. Backed by the support of her Pastor Rex Stump, Kathy will welcome up to twelve students to the True North Kindergarten Readiness Tutor School, six in her morning session and six in her afternoon session. She is quick to emphasize that this is not a preschool but rather a kindergarten readiness school with a low student to teacher ratio which will allow for lots of one to one learning. The school which will be housed at the True North Ministry Center on Linfoot Street will feature a Christian based education.
While Kathy is the only teacher, she is definitely not the only adult who will have the privilege to spend time with the students. Pastor Rex Stump, Associate/Worship Pastor Dave Chumchal, and youth/assistant Pastor Landon Schaffner will also play a role in teaching Biblical based lessons. Kathy who plans to incorporate prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, and a lot of music including guitar, says “The pastors are all very excited. It is an open arms feeling to reach out and serve the community.”
Kathy shares, “I’m really excited. My biggest goal right now is to get ready for kindergarten. We have a vision for this school, to serve the youth and the community, and we are excited at what it may grow into.” Kathy anticipates the success of this school will grow from word of mouth in the community.
Kathy is blessed by the support of her church, friends, and family. “My husband has been so supportive.” Spouse Lindsay who has a knack for construction smiles and shrugs, “Kids break things, things need fixed.” Together, they are working to have her room ready for her eager students in a few weeks.
